Matariki - Te Kahu o Waipuna
Wednesday 18 June, 5 - 7pm

Bring the whānau along to Te Kahu o Waipuna to celebrate Matariki. Join us for kapa haka, waiata, stories and crafts for the entire family. The Gallery will have two exhibitions running featuring local iwi. Mauroa - A mixed media exhibition developed by Rangitane o Wairau, Mauroa signifies long-standing presence and enduring commitment. It also embodies the resilience and innovation needed to adapt and evolve over time. Melissa Banks – Te Ara o Hine Rēhia. Te Ara o Hine Rēhia is a homage to kapa haka in Te Tauihu o Te Waka-a-Māui (the top of the South Island). We follow four different kapa haka from Te Tauihu over six years. Shared kai will be available.
