7 December 2013 - 26 January 2014

About the exhibition

Passages represents years of work and expands upon the artistic vision and the concepts which earned Marlborough-based artist, Joanna Dudson-Scott, a place in the finals of the 2009 Wallace Art Awards.

The exhibition will be on show at the Millennium Public Art Gallery this summer. Joanna majored in painting at the Otago School of Fine Arts in the 1980s and has developed a distinctive style of landscape painting that demonstrates a high level of technical skill and originality and draws on her solid academic art training. Passages are an important part of Joanna's work and in this exhibition it is the Passes and Pathways carved by nature that clearly demonstrate the artist's vision and cleverly executed dimensions. The exhibition will feature an impressive collection of paintings.
