Remembering the Kurahaupo Settlement / 28 June - 5 August 2018
- Remembering the Kurahaupo Settlement: Nga Pakiaka Morehu O Te Whenua presents a series of photographs with some paintings and taonga. It depicts the activities and stories of the Kurahaupo people in Marlborough as they worked through the process of addressing grievances that arose from Crown breaches of the Treaty of Waitangi signed at Port Underwood, Totararui (Marlborough Sounds) on 17 June 1840.
- From 1840 to Settlement in 2014, these images and stories relate to the people on the land and the battles they fought to retain their identity on the land.
